Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress who is best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Her career began as an actor in theater and then went on to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. In BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she appeared. Not only did she be praised by critics for her performance, but she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. Her first professional performance was as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. She has performed in Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. She is most well-known for her role in the series Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. She is also well-known for her part in ABC's crime show High Incident.
